Band Updates ... April 2008
- Annual Concert Confirmed for Sunday 27th April: Come and see us in our flagship concert at Christys Hotel in Blarney. Plenty of other upcoming band events have been added below. More will be added throughout the year.
- We have a vacant position for an experienced trumpet player in the senior band: The musician would be required for weekly rehearsal and public engagements. If you are interested please email the band's Secretary or phone on 0862112162.
- Limited number of places left for our Junior Band and youth educational music programme - STARTING SOON!:
Members of the Junior band receive subsidised instrument lessons and
music theory tuition. Musical instruments are provided by us so no
purchase is necessary! If you're interested in your child joining our
Junior Band then please phone Vincent Condon on 0872229513.
Hire The Blarney Brass and Reed Band
The band is available to hire for
a wide range of events. We are an experienced marching and concert band
with a large repertoire of music. We are available to hire all year
round for indoor and outdoor events, and are available to perform Christmas carol concerts.

The Blarney Brass and Reed Senior and Junior bands have members of all ages and varied musical
ability.
We are always looking for new members, previous musical experience is
not necessary, and it's never too late to learn! The instruments in the
band are... Trumpet, Trombone, Clarinet, Saxophone (Alto and Tenor),

Sunday 1st June 2008 - Gay Pride Parade, Cork City: The Blarney Brass and Reed Band will be marching and playing in the parade - More details to follow.
Saturday 14th June 2008 - Annesgrove, Castletownroche: This is an evening concert - More details to follow.

- South of Ireland Band Competition, Clonakilty: The Band is competing in the South of Ireland Band
Championships, held in Clonakilty Secondary School. Come cheer us on and hear some great music
at the same time!
Monday 4th August 2008 - Kinsale Outdoor Concert: Come and listen to us play in one of our annual fixtures - an afternoon outdoor concert in Kinsale, starting at 2pm.
Sunday 10th August 2008 - Puck Fair, Killorglin: The band will be marching in the Puck Fair - More details to follow
Sunday 17th August 2008 - Rose of Tralee Parade: The band is proud to be asked to march in the Rose of Tralee opening parade for the 3rd year in row.
